We got to see a number of folks for the first time in a long time. I got pictures of everyone except the Jacksons. Sorry, Jacksons! Slip and slide at Elizabeth's house! Titus was not thrilled with Neal.

We visited the Reptile Zoo in Monroe with my parents. It is small, but there were a lot of animals to see, and the kids were delighted. Most of the animals weren't available for handling, but we could pet some of the big tortoises. They also had some select snakes for us to hold. Dad held the biggest snake, a ball python named Severus.

On our way back to Neal's parents' house, we stopped for a day or so with Lisa and her kids. Kyra and Grant had so much fun, they were sad to leave. Grant cried and begged me to let them come with us. Kyra and Grant enjoyed the playground, but also loved riding around in the wagon on the blacktop. So many of them! It went on and on.

Curtis's family has passes to the Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, so we went along to see it. It was a pretty neat place, and most of the animals were active and fun to watch. Elephants are always a favorite for Grant. And everyone loves a petting zoo! This is Boris the bear, who went for a dip right after we arrived.

During our last week in Washington, we went camping with Mom and Dad. We were disappointed at first not to get the campsite they usually get, but ended up with something even better. Mom and Dad set up their tent trailer a little ways up from the north fork of the Teanaway River. We stayed in the tent right next to the river.
