Friday, April 5, 2013. Last weekend we had planned to go into DC to see the famous Cherry Blossoms, but knew that they were a little behind their expected schedule due to cold weather, so instead we went to the kite festival ad the DC Monument. There were literally hundreds of kites, and thousands of people! It was a gorgeous day in the 60s, and there was even "kite sport" competitions. Wednesday, July 24, 2013. Hi friends and family,. Sunday, July 7, 2013. The 4th was a good one this year. It was the first in years that I wasn't working, and that's because I asked for it off, and magically got it. It's actually one of my favorite holidays, so I was really excited about it. A co-worker of Wolfgang's asked if we wanted to BBQ and watch the fireworks with him and his wife, and we gave a big YES. Didn't really have any idea what we were doing, since it was both of our first 4th in DC.

Saturday, February 15, 2014. This past Wednesday night/Thursday morning, we had quite the snow storm! These desert rats were definitely out of their element. Ok, maybe just me at least, because Wolfgang went into Austrian mode when shoveling the snow, I was impressed. What a man. Here is what it looked like at around 10:00pm. Then the next morning at 8am, it looked like this! I even got the day off and Wolfgang worked from home; it was pretty great. That cute face is all mine! That's mid calf, y'all!

Sunday, June 23, 2013. Why I support soccer {football}. I've never been a fan of soccer. Growing up I hated playing it and would avoid it at all costs, and I also would find it extremely boring to watch.
