Lincoln Lads on Tour 2012

Lincoln Lads on Tour 2012. Friday, 24 February 2012. Finally I got to see some of the Aussie wildlife the country is so famous for. First we got to see some of the native birds including the elusive Cassowary, which is a pre-historic looking bird which only lives in the rainforests in this area. Most people believe it only to be a myth as it is so rare to see one in the wild. But, they are real as we saw one. The best part was we then also got a lay in the next morning! Within an hour it was all over, as...

Lincoln Lads on Tour 2012: Forever gliding across the Everglades

http://www.scottandluke2012.blogspot.com/2012/02/forever-gliding-across-everglades.html

Lincoln Lads on Tour 2012. Tuesday, 7 February 2012. Forever gliding across the Everglades. 7am soon came and Scott’s alarm burst into song to warn us it was time to pack up and move, but I think we were both awake regardless due to the excitement that lay ahead. We packed out smaller, hand luggage-sized bags with enough clothes and personal belongings to stop us becoming feral in the upcoming three days and set off to the dock…. As stated previously, the map provided was hand drawn and as such gave us n...

Lincoln Lads on Tour 2012: January 2012

Lincoln Lads on Tour 2012. Tuesday, 31 January 2012. Surfers Paradise… Apparently. We spent our third and final day in Byron with the same people as the day before; spending an hour or two at the beach and in the sea before cleaning up and heading to a really nice Indian restaurant in town for Luke’s birthday [not me, another Luke]. We’re both now just praying for the sun to come back. It hasn’t been too bad for the past week with the showers as apart from Nimbin we haven’t had much...As we know, Austral...

Lincoln Lads on Tour 2012: Whitsunday Islands

http://www.scottandluke2012.blogspot.com/2012/02/whitsunday-islands.html

Lincoln Lads on Tour 2012. Friday, 17 February 2012. Luckily others started to slowly rock up the meeting point and were more of a similar age to us so the worries subsided and once everyone was accounted for, we got onto the boat and set sail. One of the best things about the whole trip was that once we got back on the boat, there was always a meal waiting for us. After a few excursions camping and spending all over occasions in hostels, fighting for kitchen space, it felt like luxury! I honestly have s...

Lincoln Lads on Tour 2012: Life's A Beach

http://www.scottandluke2012.blogspot.com/2012/02/lifes-beach.html

Lincoln Lads on Tour 2012. Thursday, 16 February 2012. It was at this very location where Scott and I made our next stop. The area is a sleepy beach town, similar to a few of the others [aka; beautiful but dull in terms of things to do] and aside from its official name, it is more commonly known as ‘1770’, the date Captain Cook arrived here. Later on that evening we just about had time to take a shower and dry off before boarding another trip on the Greyhound. 11 Hours sat on a bus is a very long time!

BURNSIDEARCHIVES

And there goes June and July. This week it has been cold cold cold. not really that cold, like 70 and cloudy with lots of rain. Today I realized that summer is in its final month. What? How did that happened. I am a lover of fall, the feelings of coziness, family, and the beauty that it brings are what makes it my favorite time of the year, BUT today I wanted to cry thinking that summer is in its final stretch. We have had more fun than we could handle this summer. WARNING: picture overload below.

Scott and Maile in China

Scott and Maile in China. Thursday, July 26, 2012. We are in Europe though and we did have to see some sites. In Dublin, it was the Old Jameson Distillery, Guinness Brewery, and Newgrange (Europe's older, smaller version of Egypt's pyramids). In England, it was Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and this weekend the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio Tour! Oh, and I guess there's this thing called the Olympics happening this weekend so we'll try to catch a glimpse of that too. =P. Wednesday, July 11, 2012.
