Hunterville Mapping Competition (2010). I used the PlanetPhillip Hunterville competition as a means to maintain my mapping skills, and also because I really like mapping for singleplayer. I never submitted it because I didn't finish it in time, but for as much work as I put into it, I think it still deserves recognition. The level was designed for play in the Source Engine in the Half-Life 2: Episode Two game. PlanetPhillip.com Hunterville Competition Outline. About the Source Engine.

I've studied and trained to become an architect, but my passion ultimately lies with game design and its implications as a medium for teaching and explaining. At best my skills complement my ability to design spaces and present them clearly. I recently relocated to Austin, Texas where I enjoy good food and practicing architecture. And it goes by the s...

SnarkPit Map from Base Competition (2007). This mapping project was part of a 'map from base' competition held on www.snarkpit.net whereby each participant downloaded a stripped base level and turned it into something of their own accord. The map was made for Half-Life 2 (an outdated version of it) and included NPC battles and NPC character animations with custom voice-overs. Final area where the player demolishes the energy core. The level starts in an abandoned subway. Design By: Scott Beckman.
