Scoot over and grab a fork! Wednesday, December 02, 2009. These Have Crack in Them. Someone please take them away. If you feel like getting a little hit yourself, they can be found at your local Whole Foods or deli (if it's a good one). Or Amazon.com, where I got this image from, but probably not the fastest method for your licorice fix. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Email me at leslie.brennan@gmail.com. Scoot over and grab a fork! Thursday, December 03, 2009. Review: Tender at the Bone by Ruth Reichl. Last night I finished the incredibly enjoyable Tender at the Bone. By former New York Times food critic and Gourmet. Magazine editor, Ruth Reichl. I love, love, loved this book. I'm a little embarrassed my knowledge of her was so limited. In New York City, her name comes up often, and even more frequently now with the recent close of Gourmet. Called Comfort Me with Apples. Labels: Books about food.

My NY Plate: April 2009
http://mynyplate.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Scoot over and grab a fork! Monday, April 13, 2009. Early Days in New York. Love this article. Love New York. Nick Denton used to live in my building! Thursday, April 09, 2009. Just read Nancy Olson's 15-bakery. Review on Grub Street, and for the most part I agree. Magnolia is COMPLETELY over-rated. Batch is fantastic, I'm sad it's moving from its west village location. The flavors are super-intense and leave you wanting more. When I eat a Magnolia cupcake, I feel hollow inside.but not. Like What You See?

My NY Plate: October 2009
http://mynyplate.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Scoot over and grab a fork! Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Nu-Romance: Entertainment is Key. Interesting entry in today's NYT Diner's Journal blog. And very seasonally appropriate given that it's Halloween on Saturday. Paul Rudnick lists out his favorite and least favorite sweets.
