http://lancecjohnson.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Comics, Beer, and Shakespeare. By Lance Christian Johnson. Sunday, March 29, 2015. Thanks, Big Pharma! When I went to see a doctor last summer, I was asked whether I was taking any medications. Specifically, the doctor wanted to know if I was taking anything for my blood pressure, as it was running a bit high. I told the doctor that I used to, but I had stopped. She looked at me a bit puzzled and asked me why. I didn't have a good answer. So, why was I being so stupid? I don't know. For some reason, ...

Comics, Beer, and Shakespeare: Or Shakes - Antony and Cleopatra
http://lancecjohnson.blogspot.com/2015/08/or-shakes-antony-and-cleopatra.html
Comics, Beer, and Shakespeare. By Lance Christian Johnson. Sunday, August 9, 2015. Or Shakes - Antony and Cleopatra. Yeah, I don't think anybody calls the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Or Shakes" but I'm starting it here. Usually I attend plays put on by the California Shakespeare Festival. But this year my wife and I made a special trip up to Ashland, Oregon to see Antony and Cleopatra. It's a play that I had never read before, although I was familiar with the principle characters from history, HBO's Rome.

Comics, Beer, and Shakespeare: The DC Relaunch
http://lancecjohnson.blogspot.com/2011/06/dc-relaunch.html
Comics, Beer, and Shakespeare. By Lance Christian Johnson. Saturday, June 11, 2011. Well, this is kind of a no-brainer, isn't it? Geoff Johns and Jim Lee? And the correct lineup of heroes (with Cyborg replacing the Martian Manhunter)? And he understood that you need the major heroes for this book. Over to this one. Cons...

Comics, Beer, and Shakespeare. By Lance Christian Johnson. Friday, July 24, 2015. I don't suppose it's all that strange that death has been on my mind a lot lately. I suppose that it's not so strange though, as men in their forties have been said to start coming to grips with their own mortality. Supposedly, we're supposed to go through some sort of midlife crisis or something, and while I don't know if I'm doing that, I am starting to feel a bit different. This brings me to The Epic of Gilgamesh. Ultima...

Comics, Beer, and Shakespeare: Ant-Man - Movie Review
http://lancecjohnson.blogspot.com/2015/07/ant-man-movie-review.html
Comics, Beer, and Shakespeare. By Lance Christian Johnson. Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Ant-Man - Movie Review. Anyway, there really isn't much that I can say that they did wrong. Some of the comic relief bordered on being a bit much, but just when I worried that it was going to be over-the-top, they reigned it in a little. With that said, here are some random thoughts:. Is one of my favorite comedies. Hank Pym Versus Scott Lang. More Ant-Man in other movies. So, there ya have it. If you are familiar wi...
