One of my roles in the Places for People group is to develop and maintain the group’s websites. On average these websites get 85,000 visits (58,000 unique) and 275,000 page views a month. The websites are built in .net with a custom Umbraco CMS to allow the content team to keep the site up to date.

My Journey Cost is an iPhone and Android application I developed to help people manage fuel costs. The app tells you an accurately estimated journey cost based on current fuel prices, the distance of your journey and the MPG your car gets. The app has reached number 3. In the Travel ( top 250 overall. Section of the UK App Store and was featured in the top 50.

My name is Scott Dernley and I like to make things. This is a website about some of those things. The Vegas strip map is something I was asked to develop for a resorts company. It shows information for the resorts on the Las Vegas strip and links people to more information if they want to look further. I developed it in PHP / MySQL and used the Google maps API to draw the resorts on to the map and show street view locations of each resort.

My name is Scott Dernley and I like to make things. This is a website about some of those things. The iOS TextField Handler helps you handle TextField Objects and the keyboard in iOS applications. When the keyboard activates, TextFields can become hidden behind the keyboard, iOSTextFieldHandler stops this happening. It also fixes other problems / issues you might find when using TextFields in iOS. You can find out more in the GitHub project (link below).
