So the last few days, if judged by our expectations, would have to be deemed a failure. We had intended to go down to Carrie’s parents and spend three full days of wedding planning so that Christmas with each family could be wedding-planning free! It was a well thought out plan. Christianity has a significant problem: We don’t know how to communicate our story! We send out newsletters filled with information. We stuff as much duplicate information as we can into our powerpoints, bulletins, newsletters, and times of announcement in worship. There has to be a better way! I am a pastor at First United Methodist Church of Normal, IL. I feel called to a ministry of teaching and preaching and find great fulfillment in acting out my faith through my ministry as pastor.
