The mothballed ships once numbered close to 400, and in 1959, 324 vessels still lined the waters of Suisun Bay. Although the ships continued to dwindle down over time, approximately 75 remained throughout the 2000s, rusting and leaching toxic heavy metals into the bay as the Bush administration did little to address the crumbling ships.

Photographie aérienne par cerf-volant ). Juste un petit tuto pour montrer comment je m'y suis pris :. D'abord prendre une photo en KAP à l'aide d'un fisheye. Ici j'ai utilisé un Nikon Coolpix P 5100 avec un complément optique FC E8 et une bague adaptatrice de chez Agnos ( qui en fait aussi pour les derniers P 6000 ). La nacelle est réduite à son strict minimum puisque la photo est prise à la verticale sur 360 : donc pas besoin de servos et le déclenchement se fait grâce à la minuterie. Et puis c'est tout.
