The Orchestra has previously performed works such as Mars by Gustav Holst, two Samuel R. Hazo pieces called Rush and Ride, and ended last year with a spectacular performance of Godzilla Eats Las Vegas by Eric Whitacre. Wednesdays 7.30 – 9.30. Hannah is a second year BMus music student who plays the clarinet, saxophone and flute (or at least tries to! This year, Elizabeth is looking forward to working with Hannah and Jacob to organise some fun SWOcials, as well as performing some great rep!

LUUMS Chorus is an open ensemble within the society, welcoming students of all musical abilities who love to sing. The choir is not auditioned, just simply come along to our give it a go session. We hold rehearsals every Monday evening in the Rehearsal Hall of the Music Department. We hope to follow our rehearsals with social trips to the Union, as well as holding bigger socials throughout the year, like going out for meals or ice skating, many of which may be with other ensembles within LUUMS! LUUMS Chamber Choir is the music society’s auditioned vocal ensemble, singing repertoire from Palestrina through to 20th century composers such as Moses Hogan.
