Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Sketchbook pages from ACA residence. In October 2010 I attended a Graphic Novel Residency at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in Florida. Above are some pages from this time. If you read this, you'll see that part of my "education" was visiting a strip club with fellow artists Jed McGowan. Wednesday, August 25, 2010. I stopped drawing comics for a while but was sketching all the time throughout 2009-2010 and I think these drawings are some of my best non-narrative work. I would like to eventually make a print version of these sketchbooks available if there was an interest. However, for now, what I have are some samples on my facebook page. Last Winter I found myself in a cheap Howard Johnson's motel on the side of a highway in Tucson, Arizona. Do you remember how I often shared my dreams of living out in the desert? To reach a point of desperation where I could stop wishing for things and instead just be thankful. You had your way and this was mine. That's about it for now.
