Life's Longing for Itself: October 2012
http://lifeslongingforitself.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Life's Longing for Itself. Your children are not your children; They are the sons and daughters of life's longing for itself. -Kahlil Gibran. Tuesday, October 2, 2012. We've got our hands full over here:) The shelter sent me a text at 10:00pm on a Sunday. These three had shown up at the shelter and all their cages are full. Would we take them? Looks like some serious foster cuteness, eh? We will have them for three weeks, and then they will be old enough for adoption. Magoo, what is 27 divided by 9?

Aren't you all proud of me? I finally caught up! I post most of my updates to Facebook, so this blog is a second thought. Since there isn't much going on with the adoption, I've added some stories about the family this time. Thumbs up or down? Links to this post. June 2012 We needed some good news. Extreme weight l...

Journey To Our Girl: April 2010
http://journeytoourgirl.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 25, 2010. A Big Ol' Lia Kate Update. We have been home almost four months with our little girl! On the Medical Front. We had a follow-up visit with the surgeon this week and he thought her incision was healing up well. She has not had any more leaking since the small leak she had post-op. As far as long-term follow-up . she will have a MRI of her spine once a year for the next three years. If all is well then, that will probably be the end of all follow-up. Blowing kisses to mama. Thank you...

The Armstrongs: December 2013
http://marksarahandturner.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 31, 2013. This Christmas was really the first year that Turner was REALLY into Christmas, counting down the days, getting up every morning to see what Gretchen (our elf) had gotten into overnight, etc. Not that she hasn't been excited before, but this year was just different. So we savored every moment of her child-like enchantment and soaked up every memory, knowing that these younger years will pass so quickly. Reading her letter from Santa. Mark and I were so excited for Turner to op...

Pearls Of Wit: SUMMERED
http://www.pearlsofwit.com/2013/08/summered.html
Saturday, August 24, 2013. It has been a busy summer! I turned 30 on 30-A with my family all there to celebrate. It was a fun trip and one I hope will become a tradition. Kathryn came to visit. I won't say who supplied what, but this pretty much sums up our day at the pool:. I checked a HUGE box on the bucket list and saw Queen Bey in concert. Best show ever, obviously. I was mesmerized to put it mildly. And speaking of Evan, we had not one,. Thanks for the mention! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Wednesday, February 05, 2014. I miss California. A month ago today, we were Pasadena-via-Vegas bound. I was SO SMUG that we had missed the worst weather of the winter. Surely it wouldn't get into single digits again! Oh how wrong I was. Someone in this photo (not me) has watched the SEC championship game 6 times (5 on TV, once in person). A month later and neither of us have been able to watch the BCS game again. The loss stung but all in all, we had a fun trip! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Wednesday, July 17, 2013. On Sunday, three bunko friends and I threw a baby shower for Julia, who is expecting her first born this fall! The shower was a hit, but the sweetest part of all came home with us hostesses: Julia made us gift baskets with peach jam and a sack of six delicious, ripe, sweet Georgia peaches from the Peach Truck! So, we have been putting them to use this week. On Monday we had grilled peaches and ice cream:. And last night, we made a peach pizza! YUMthat pizza looks amazing!

Life's Longing for Itself. Your children are not your children; They are the sons and daughters of life's longing for itself. -Kahlil Gibran. Thursday, July 21, 2011. How to NOT Go Crazy. This adoption stuff is not for chickens. It is yet to be determined if we are chickens or not.). This month 18 Ethiopian orphanages were closed quite suddenly by the Ethiopian government. The children were whisked away to other sites. In Ethiopia, adoption agencies are not allowed to run orphanages. Even if an agency do...

All-Around Awesome Agnews: It's all in a name...

Wednesday, August 31, 2011. It's all in a name. I even cried when I called Jess to let her know (it may also have had something to do with the fact that we were watching The Office rerun where Jim and Pam get married. Who knows? I think I freaked Jess out a little. Cliff kept saying her name over and over again to my tummy and Ann Trotter started kicking up a storm! So I guess she approves. Can't wait to meet her! Oh, I LOVE it! We MUST do lunch asap! September 1, 2011 at 2:09 PM. Its all in a name.
