Scott's Excellent UK Adventure. Wednesday, 2 May 2007. Flew through Amsterdam to Munich yesterday, then had an 1.5 hour drive from Munich to Nurnberg, and finally found Peter and Sare's house around 1045. dinner was still waiting for me. :) they have a beautiful new home just south of the city, near a river with walking paths and a biergarten every few miles (i'm told, i'll be finding that out for sure later). This is the view I woke up to this morning. more pictures to follow! Not so far from home.

Scott's Excellent UK Adventure. Friday, 30 March 2007. Sunday, 25 March 2007. As opposed to the London Aye, which is a popular form of acknowledgement here. That's a lot like TGIF in the US, but means God Save the Queen in England. The President of Ghana is inside the bulletproof carriage with the Queen. Monday, 19 March 2007. Well, almost. Been busy entertaining friends from Atlanta, going to London and Edinburgh, and stopping at most of the pubs in between. Hope everyone had a great St Patty's Day!

Scott's Excellent UK Adventure. Friday, 4 May 2007. I had a lovely hefeweizen and apfeltarte (my new favorite dessert) while i watched a classical concert in the plaza. I didn't pack a suit, so I didn't meet the dress code for the casino next door (the building with the columns). After that, I went to the Roman Bath, and I can't post those pictures (just kidding, no cameras allowed.). I cant believe it, you found an ashtray with the name griesbacher on it.that is really promising trace, hm?

Sonntag, 13. Mai 2007. SCOTT is going home. :-(. Yesterday was Scotts farewell (respectively good bye and see you again soon) party. Monika, Scott and me went to Scott's Tennis Club and played tennis for around 2 hours! It was great and much fun even though it was slightly raining. . After an exhausting game, we went to Lonsdale - the nearby pub - to meet other friends of Scott and have dinner there. Afterwards we went back to the Tennis Club to a benefit fund for kidney research. CANOEING, PUB and PIZZA.

Freitag, 11. Mai 2007. CANOEING, PUB and PIZZA. Last wednesday was the final session of the Northumbria Canoeing Club. Unfortunately I managed to go only twice. However I really enjoyed it . :-). So - as it was the last meeting - we got this huge inflatable mattress . I only have this picture as I was a bit busy afterwards! After canoing we went to a pub (Lonsdale) and wanted to eat. Donnerstag, 7. Juni 2007. Maggie came to visit me in Newcastle (26.-30.5.2007) so I wanted to show her only the best side of “the toon”! She arrived and we went to another BBQ at the beach. We’ve been quite lucky as the weather was pretty nice until it started to rain heavily and we had to go home. . We’ve been to the Jesmond Dean Park and the Arts and Crafts Market on the Armstrong Bridge the next day, where we wondered around a bit and enjoyed the beautiful weather again!
