Adventures with boys, hiking, and the family dog. Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Our neighbors had a baby bird fall into their lawn last week. He was totally naked and unprotected. They scooped him up, but him is a shoe box and brought him over to our house. We researched orphaned birds on the internet and learned that they must be fed every 20 minutes with a canned dogfood or catfood mixed with a little water. (So it looks and feels like vomit. Yea, yummy! I think I draw the line at spiders. Get a Web Ribbon.

Every turn, every switchback, every thing I tried to soak in made me swoon. I had moments where all I could do was simply stop walking and be still because I was overcome by the vast and exquisite scenery. She's the same women we've had for the past 5 years and she's like family. She's from Oaxaca, Mexico and speaks primarily Spanish at home with her husband and daughter.
