Craft Your Own StYle. Monday, December 8, 2008. Coloring with Pastels is a Hoot! I recently got my hands on a Stampin Up blender pen, and with a little instruction, I learned that you can use the blender pen just like a watercolor brush. Boy, was I excited to try this. Now, the technique doesn't look. Like watercolor, and the chalk technique gives an. Look, but with all the distressing I do - it suits me just fine. Stampin Up Blender Pen. Stamp your image on cardstock. All from Stampin Up. And, well, I c...

Pursuit of Craftyness: Feels like Fall...
http://pursuitofcraftyness.blogspot.com/2008/10/feels-like-fall.html
Craft Your Own StYle. Thursday, October 16, 2008. Today is actually the first day we've seen less than 85°. And ya know what? I'm fine with the fact that it's taken so long to get here! I don't live in Texas because I like snow, ya know what I mean? However, I may not like the cold, but I do love fall decorating! Last year's fall included the addition of this little (now big) cutie. {insert gratuitous picture of cutest baby ever here}. 2 Foam brush to spread glue. Mine has obviously seen better days.

Pursuit of Craftyness: Crumpled Paper Technique...
http://pursuitofcraftyness.blogspot.com/2010/04/crumpled-paper-technique.html
Craft Your Own StYle. Friday, April 9, 2010. I love the look of distressed paper! That shabby chic, vintage look where the paper appears well worn and resembles fabric is so pretty. Of course, there are many paper distressing techniques out there to choose from that will give paper an aged look but crumpled paper. Quite Contrary collection of Jack and Jill papers and stickers were exactly what I had in mind and they happen to be some new papers I've been sooo looking forward to using. Whether you're new ...

Pursuit of Craftyness: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
http://pursuitofcraftyness.blogspot.com/2008/09/its-beginning-to-look-lot-like.html
Craft Your Own StYle. Monday, September 8, 2008. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Ok, not so much. Here in Texas, we haven't even moved into that week long season we like to call autumn yet. It's still hot, hot, hot. Just the way I like it, by the way. And what better thing to do when it's a chilling 95° outside than make Christmas gifts? Crazy, I know, but follow me here. Came back the next day, picked bucketfuls of berries (did I mention that this was July and well over 100° outside? To mak...

Pursuit of Craftyness: a quick project
http://pursuitofcraftyness.blogspot.com/2010/04/quick-project.html
Craft Your Own StYle. Sunday, April 4, 2010. Hello, I thought I'd share a quick project with you today. This notebook was a quick project I created with some Pink Paislee 365 degree collection and a $1 spot cork fronted notebook. I used the Pink Paislee Press Ons to add my background directly on the cork. It takes the rubons well, but you do need to make sure you really rub them on. Next I added this punch out, adding a second smaller one- the finger pointer- underneath the quote. Color with pastel chalks.

Pursuit of Craftyness: Creating Backgrounds with Glimmer Mist
http://pursuitofcraftyness.blogspot.com/2010/02/creating-backgrounds-with-glimmer-mist.html
Craft Your Own StYle. Thursday, February 18, 2010. Creating Backgrounds with Glimmer Mist. I'm guilty of obtaining awesome new products and tucking them away in my scrapbook nook corner with the intention of getting around to using them. I've had Tattered Angels' Glimmer Mists Glimmer Screens since this past summer and - yep - you guessed it - I haven't done anything with them. I HAVE used the Glimmer Mists - mainly to alter the color of something - but not in conjunction with the screen. The Glimmer Mis...
