Need A Little Muse: September 2014
http://needalittlemuse.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 22, 2014. This is the double page that broke the mental block. I started by priming the page with a thin coat of gesso. After that coat dried, I used a spatula to apply a thick uneven coat to provide texture. Stenciled modeling paste added further texture. After adding tea stain, inks, tissue paper, etc. to the background, I add pieces of ephemera from my scrap basket. I am contemplating spending sometime making different hand made paper flowers.maybe a wall hanging or a framed piece.

Need A Little Muse: August 2013

Tuesday, August 27, 2013. Another Non-Craft Related Post. Yet another non-craft related post.my daughter's birthday is this week and to celebrate it, we spent the day at the local water park. Needless to say, everyone is tired tonight but I wanted to share a few photos that we took. I love waterproof cameras. Now, it is time to figure what's for dinner and then pass out from exhaustion afterwards. Links to this post. Sunday, August 25, 2013. Recapturing an Old Interest. Need A Little Muse: October 2013
http://needalittlemuse.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 31, 2013. It was a dark and stormy night. When the 10th doctor landed amongst a vampire nest, his only worthy ally was a vampire hunter that he had met in a previous Halloween adventure. All did not go as planned since vampire had managed to get her hands on the 11th doctor's sonic screwdriver.and managed to thwart their plans to exterminate her. Happy Halloween everyone. Hope that your night is full of ghouls and goblins. Links to this post. Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Links to this post.

Need A Little Muse: April 2014
http://needalittlemuse.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 28, 2014. One aspect of scrapbooking and art journalling that I seem to always fall back on is fussy cutting. I not sure why I find cutting out bits and pieces from pattern paper so relaxing but I do. Whenever I am looking at piece of paper, I tend to deconstruct it. Trying to reorganize the various elements into other arrangements or layerings. Happy Monday.off to play some more. Links to this post. Friday, April 25, 2014. Yet Even More Art Journalling. Need A Little Muse: It Has Been A While
http://needalittlemuse.blogspot.com/2015/04/it-has-been-while.html
Thursday, April 30, 2015. It Has Been A While. I started a new job last fall and after being home for 6 months, it was a big adjustment. Learning a new job, a new organization and working with new people is both stimulating and tiring. It has been a period of adjustment for everyone. I am afraid that my crafting has suffered because of it. Things are starting to settle in and I am hoping to post here more often.Stay tuned and Happy Thursday. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Need A Little Muse: June 2014
http://needalittlemuse.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 9, 2014. Crafting has been slow as well but I have managed to make some headway. I have finished an art journal page and started another. For this page, I wanted to avoid the really wet mediums, such as paints and sprays, and went with layering inks instead. I also dug out the modelling paste and a Prima 12x12 butterfly stencil. Once the modelling paste was dry, I rubbed on Inka-Gold in green, blue and gold. Pencil outlines helped to have the butterflies popped out a bit more. My name is Kim...

Need A Little Muse: November 2013
http://needalittlemuse.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 2, 2013. Last of the Retreat Layouts. This is the last of the retreat layouts that I completed. This is a more clean lined and much less layered layout than I normally do but I did not want to take to much away from this photo. It is hard to get both kiddos looking at the camera, smiling reasonably, and not goofing off at this stage. Have a good Saturday. Links to this post. Friday, November 1, 2013. Need A Little Muse: December 2013
http://needalittlemuse.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 9, 2013. Less time consuming - yes. Simpler design - yes. Not too thick so easier to mail - yes. Able to complete a whole whack of them in time to mail today - um, well, see, um - no. I have managed to get two completed and the bits and pieces ready to do 4 more. Thankfully, I only mail about a dozen cards. Here is design #2 with the Memory Box holly wreath die:. Not the best photo I am afraid to say. We are getting some snow today and the lighting sucks. Links to this post. I finally us...

Need A Little Muse: June 2013
http://needalittlemuse.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 27, 2013. It is an absolutely gorgeous day here. Not only is it the kiddos last day of school but it is Rascal's very last day of elementary school. He is moving over to middle school in the fall. Another milestone has been reached. Is demonstrating this technique with his Distress Markers. I only needed to figure out what stamps I wanted to use. The card turned out well and it is a very literal interpretation of Tim's Tag. I decided that I wasn't going to deviate too much this time. My na...
