Scrappy Soo: Gingerbread 2012
http://scrappysoo.blogspot.com/2012/12/gingerbread-2012.html
Tuesday, 18 December 2012. Somehow 2012 is coming to a close - what an amazing year it has been! Of course every year for the past 21 years we've marked the beginning of Christmas with the gingerbread construction and this year was no different. After last year's Who-ville masterpiece. I was feeling a bit of pressure when it came to picking a theme. There was a lot of interest in an Olympics gingerbread display but I thought that recreating the stadium might be tricky(! From there we were off! Outside of...

Wednesday, 17 October 2012. More Fun with Fabric. Ever since I heard about people using their Cricuts to cut fabric I've been meaning to give it a try - but just never got around to it. I confess that part of what was holding me back was a niggling concern that it would be one of those things that other people make look easy - but it isn't. But it is! My experimenting resulted in this banner. Very pretty I think - even if I did put the fabric pattern on upside down for a a couple of pieces.
Scrappy Soo: September 2012

Sunday, 30 September 2012. When I bought Craft Artist Professional. CAP to us addicts) last year I wasn't entirely sure how I'd use it - but it just seemed to do so much that I knew I needed it. And how right was I! CAP has become such a useful bit of software that when Craft Artist Professional 2 was launched I bought it immediately. It has a few new features and some nice enhancements to the old favourites. Freddy the Wonder Dog. First I tackled a card for my niece Sarah - starring her amazing dog Fred...
Scrappy Soo: Cuttlebug All in One Folders Review
http://scrappysoo.blogspot.com/2011/08/cuttlebug-all-in-one-folders-review.html
Tuesday, 2 August 2011. Cuttlebug All in One Folders Review. Provocraft have introduced a new line of embossing folders for the Cuttlebug - called the 'All in One' folders. The system works with existing Cuttlebug machines but the 'A' plate is replaced by the new (sold separately) 'Master Folder'. Apparently there are some! And experimenting. So bottom line:. It is fabulous to be able to customise the embossing areas yourself and the monograms are really fun to work with. The biggest annoyance for me- an...
Scrappy Soo: August 2012
http://scrappysoo.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Friday, 31 August 2012. Last year when god daughter Gen turned 17 and I made the exploding box card. I did wonder how I was going to top it when she turned 18. It wasn't easy but I think I just about managed it. I decided that a mini scrapbook that she could fill with photos of her family and friends to remind her of her life at 18 was the way to go. With that in mind - I took out every single bit of crafting stuff I own and went crazy! I decorated the covers using the techniques we'd been playing with at.

Things Soo Likes: June 2011

Wednesday, 29 June 2011. When the End isn't the End. So following the great shrinking fiasco. I returned to the Princess. I knit a little each day. Only a little each day because edging knitting at the beginning of a project is wrong and against the natural order of things. (That and the fact that I've recently become obsessed with paper and glue. And all things inky and glittery. ). I took a look at the pattern to see where that put me in the 'how much longer will this have to go on' stakes. But I proba...

Thursday, 13 October 2011. I Just Needed Some Colour. Progress on the Princess continues steadily along. I'm now on the final chart of the wide border (hurrah! But still have a long way to go before I can call the shawl done. Once the wide border is finished, I've got the triangle body to complete and then finally, another round of tedious edging. Before I knew it I had downloaded the pattern and was ordering mini skeins of yarn from the Knitting Goddess. The Natural Dye Studio. Links to this post. If yo...

Wednesday, 18 December 2013. Apologies if you've already read this on my knitting blog - but thanks for stopping by.). I present the 2013 Gingerbread House! It always surprises me what 5 adults and 4 mini-Coopers - given gallons of icing, a sleigh full of sweets, a few bottles of fizz, and lots of laughter - can do. Mads created the bar with draught beer pumps, and the bottles of spirits on the wall behind the bar. Suzy created the elf bartender to complete the scene. By the see-saw created by Louis.

Gym Teacher Takes Unique Approach to Fitness for Young Children. June 22, 2014. June 22, 2014. You can’t help but notice you’re not in a typical gym. There’s no stern coach towering above students; instead a petite mother-figure bends down on each child’s level. The mother of five demonstrates every stretch, spots every move, teaches every class herself. Some students using the facility are older, lithely mastering gymnastics concepts to complement the […]. Monday, 10 August 2015. Elegant Chic Trim Organizer for Gina's Designs. Even though I'm not exactly the most organized person in the world in a lot of ways, I LOVE organizers! Lynne here with my version of the trim organizer from Gina's store; my scraproom is painted pale grey, so these FabScraps papers were perfect for this project. After assembling the box (which is delightfully easy! I kept the decoration of my organizer fairly simple, but the sky's the limit! Have a terrific week! Time sure does fly,...
