Subee Sews Quilts: April 2015
http://subeesews.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30, 2015. I was having fun until OCD set in. I was having fun until OCD set in. I have been using my 1 1/2" squares as Leaders and Enders all this past week. And loving how many I was making. I pieced a top for my second daughter's birthday and two copies for Project Linus. The Leaders and Enders then became a major sewing exercise that required no brain work. And a few more days of blissful sewing happened. I did not take a nap. I slowly reached for my sorted by color container. ...I the...

Studio Lakeside: October 2009

Where I Get To Spend Time Exploring,Discovering, Revealing and Sharing. Thursday, October 29, 2009. While blog-hopping through Jamie Ridler's Wednesday Wishcasters. Don'tcha just LOVE it when that happens? On one hand, I can hardly wait to go back and read more and on the other I'm afraid the 'spell' was just for a moment and returning would be a HUGE disappointment. Hold on a sec while I go check, before I go ON and ON and ON some more. Anyway, this morning I find myself wanting to have coffee/tea, a so...

Studio Lakeside: November 2009

Where I Get To Spend Time Exploring,Discovering, Revealing and Sharing. Monday, November 30, 2009. Anticipation - A Monday Morning's Meditation. Anticipation. Can't hardly hear that word without it having the rhythm and melody of the Carly Simon song from my youth. An * tiss * i * paaaay * shun - 's making me wait. And then the utter desecration of the song by it's use as theme music for a ketchup commercial years ago. UGH! Do you have a 'thing' that marks the start of. Do you sometimes feel the. For Chr...

Subee Sews Quilts: I made hamburger buns!
http://subeesews.blogspot.com/2015/08/i-made-hamburger-buns.html
Saturday, August 1, 2015. I made hamburger buns! I am preparing for winter. I have 40#'s of bread flour in the freezer. Also 5 #'s of yeast are there waiting. I seem to have bread making down pat. I have occasional accidents but mostly I can be sure that the bread will come out. Http:/ www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/PrintRecipe? Don't they look marvelous? I made a 100 or so of the Disappearing 4-patch block. And I cut the leftovers into useable scraps as I went. Great stash! The bread/buns look yummy!

Jenifer Rose Quilts: Estee starts her new quilt
http://jenifer-rosequilts.blogspot.com/2013/06/estee-starts-her-new-quilt.html
Friday, June 7, 2013. Estee starts her new quilt. For three years now I have been teaching my niece how to quilt. She made her first quilt when she was seven. The quilt is a tumbling blocks layout and she chose and laid out the fabrics herself. She also traced and cut out the pieces herself and sewed the initial pairs together. She is doing some of the rotary cutting this year with a Klutz glove and doing all of the sewing and ironing. She loooooves to sew! We'll be back with more later! What else is new!

She….works with willing hands Prov 31:9. Civil war diary blocks. Monday was a beach day–grabbed some rays for a couple of hours before work–and what quilty project to take? The cabana daydreams triangles of course, plus the scissors, to finishing cutting out so they can be sewn back together…that’s quilting, right?
