For my Co-op education (Internship) which was at the end of my Second year in college, I worked for the Irish Software Engineering Research Centre ‘Lero’, based in the University of Limerick. I worked on an educational outreach program which works at promoting computer science to secondary school students. I designed and developed the website for the project. Quasar from St Ailbes Secondary School, Tipperary, have been declared the overall winners of the 2012 F1 in Schools Technology Challenge, powered in Ireland by the Irish Computer Society, at the National Finals held in Griffith College Dublin yesterday. F1 in Schools past competitior Matt Cruickshank has just landed a fantastic year long work placement in Red Bull Racing - all thanks to his F1 in Schools experience! Mark represented Australia at the 2008 F1 in Schools World Finals in Malaysia, where his team finished third and also picked up the best-engineered car award.
