Western Railroads • Model Railroads • Free-mo. Monday, July 12, 2010. Tortoise Horizontal Mounting Bracket. I wanted to mount the Tortoise switch machines horizontally so I built some brackets from 26 or 24 gauge sheet metal. If you need some brackets for your layout, print the template at full size. You will have to solder the leads and install the linkage rod and set screw before mounting the Tortoise to the bracket. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tortoise Horizontal Mounting Bracket.

Paper Railroad: Basic Layout... Need a Trackplan
http://paperrailroad.blogspot.com/2008/04/basic-layout-need-trackplan.html
Monday, April 21, 2008. Basic Layout. Need a Trackplan. After enlisting the help of the Nscale.net. Forums I've decided to arrange my 80 x 30" closet doors in an L shape, as opposed to an 80 x 60" or 160 x 30" shape. The 80 x 60 will make some areas of the layout almost inaccessible, especially if it is up against a wall, and the 160 x 30 would be over 13' long, making it hard to fit into my basement. Now the next question: What's the best trackplan for this layout? April 23, 2008 at 11:47 AM.
