Jeepney rides and rants. Vacation, wait for me! I saw this picture this morning. it made me cry. Everyday i cross the Mactan Bridge (old or new). and everyday, however difficult is my sitting position, i turn my head looking at the horizon and feeling the breeze brush through my face. i look at the sky (and yes, even if it’s gloomy), the sun’s rays, the little houses, the sea, and then… i see ships sailing. I miss having a vacation. i know i need one. i know i deserve one. just wait… i&...You are comment...

Jeepney rides and rants. Today, I happen to share such a hellish ride with you beside me. The moment you went inside the little multicab, you were already ranting on how small the vehicle is. The you sat down by the vacant space between me and a foreigner and you let out a loud. 8220;hahay…”. I also observed, you had colds. Everybody knew that anyway – with the loud sneezing out and blowing of nose… who wouldn’t know? You handed your money to the driver through other passengers without even saying please.

Jeepney rides and rants. My heart was beating like the thump of the falling rain on the taxi’s roof. I don’t know exactly why, but I was nervous. This would be the first that I’ll be doing this. I was like counting the minutes and the steps towards that moment. I’ve been playing some scenes in my mind but I don’t know if what I’ve imagined would actually happen. I arrived early, as expected. The place was both familiar and unfamiliar. I’ve been there more than a couple of times since itR...A bit of ou...

Jeepney rides and rants. Thank you, Gen Eda...

Phrase for the day: 106 dot 7 HOME RADIO, today’s hit music. I bet I was about to reach three thousand times uttering the same phrase all over again like a refrain. Using hyperbolic expression may not really describe what I really feel at the moment but mind you it isn’t an easy thing to do. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. The Man who Blogs.

Have Fun with Words. Beauty outside the box. Anything under the Sun. Archive for January, 2011. Filed under: Grammar Patrol. Mdash; 2 Comments. January 18, 2011. Upon making this blog post, I am very keen in writing. The appropriate form of the verb in each sentence and also feeling a little jitter. Writing inappropriate verb for each sentence doesn’t have throes and woes but has a lot of rules to follow. On the other hand, the subject verb agreement. The same thing happens with the plural subject and th...

Packed Lunch | hop on board!

Jeepney rides and rants. My lunch has evolved for the past years. Ever since 7 years old, in 1st grade and taking whole day classes, I’ve had lots of lunch experiences. When I was in 1st and 2nd grade, back when my school was just a ride away from home, I usually go home for lunch. Once I arrive, my food’s ready. I even have enough time to take a nap before I go back to school. So I opted for something that would still be (at least) palatable despite it turning cold – sandwich or salad. A chees...Well...
