Tales of Life with Multiple Sclerosis. Thursday, 23 October 2014. Swimming and new goals! Last year my best friend and I organised a sponsored swim for us both to do. We had both started swimming.we have a friend with a pool.and I had discovered that I could still swim just with my arms, even though my legs don't work! I was loving being in the pool, the sense of freedom it gives me and I finally felt that I was doing some exercise, however small that may be! We worked out a proper training plan. We ...

http://talesoflifewithmultiplesclerosis.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Tales of Life with Multiple Sclerosis. Wednesday, 5 February 2014. The generosity of people, it puts your faith back in human nature! 2014 is going to be a good year! I still wasn't sure that we really deserved anything like this but she got cross with me and said that nobody deserved to go through everything that Martin and I have been through over the past couple of years. I told her my Paris idea and that to begin with I wanted to do it as a surprise for Martin but I then decided that if we were going...

There are several charities out there that support not only people who live with MS but their families and friends too. Tales of Life with Multiple Sclerosis: Navigating the Avon Ring! :-)
http://talesoflifewithmultiplesclerosis.blogspot.com/2014/10/navigating-avon-ring.html
Tales of Life with Multiple Sclerosis. Sunday, 12 October 2014. Navigating the Avon Ring! When I was growing up, my mum and dad took me, my brother and sister on holiday, not abroad or anything fancy like that but on a narrowboat on any of the miles and miles of canals that exist in the UK! And we all have memories of or we know the stories of my sister falling in the canal and losing her wellies! It was very satisfying! Another memory I have is of the locks.I was terrified of them as a child! Canals hol...

Tales of Life with Multiple Sclerosis: September 2014
http://talesoflifewithmultiplesclerosis.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Tales of Life with Multiple Sclerosis. Sunday, 7 September 2014. Enjoying the things you can! When you are living day to day with a chronic illness, whatever that may be, you will find yourself, and in my case Martin, going through a lot of ups and downs and the downs can be pretty horrible at times. Because of that it is really important to make sure you have some pretty good "ups" that you can hold on to through the rough patches. I have to say that Martin and I have had a rough few years. Last year I ...

Tales of Life with Multiple Sclerosis: July 2014
http://talesoflifewithmultiplesclerosis.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Tales of Life with Multiple Sclerosis. Sunday, 27 July 2014. Is anyone else struggling? I don't particularly like having MS at the best of times but I wholeheartedly dislike the damn condition when the weather gets this hot and sticky! My toes feel as though I have been outside in the freezing cold but then come inside to a warm room where my toes start burning.it's that burning sensation I get all over my toes that is so painful. In fact, only the other night I woke up in tears because my feet and hands...

http://talesoflifewithmultiplesclerosis.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tales of Life with Multiple Sclerosis. Thursday, 4 June 2015. A bad start to the year, a death, a relapse and a new medication-Tecfidera BG12. Yet again I have neglected my blog for a long while and I never mean to do it, it's just that circumstances take over, months go by and my blog suffers 😞. He had had a stroke last year and was recovering well but something we didn't know was that having had a stroke it made him susceptible to having a heart attack. Now on to my MS and a catch up on where I am.

Tales of Life with Multiple Sclerosis: Taking A Break From Tysabri!
http://talesoflifewithmultiplesclerosis.blogspot.com/2014/10/taking-break-from-tysabri.html
Tales of Life with Multiple Sclerosis. Sunday, 19 October 2014. Taking A Break From Tysabri! Over the past few months I have been thinking a lot about my Tysabri treatment. I started on the infusions on 30th June 2009 so I've been on it now for over five years, I've had around 65 infusions and to be perfectly honest that scares me.a lot! Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy or. PML, I actually don't think you can be monitored too closely! So after some thoughtful discussions, we decided that it was...
