Once we receive a referral letter from your family doctor, nurse practitioner, or physician from a walk-in clinic, it will be reviewed and prioritized. Referrals are usually seen within 1 week, and you will be called with your appointment date and time. Referral wait times are about 6 weeks and you will receive a letter with your appointment date and time.

It allows us to test and then treat abnormal cells BEFORE they can turn to cancer. Dr Muir and Dr. Barreth work with the Alberta Cancer Board and the Alberta Cervical Screening Program to help affected women. Patients requiring colposcopy are seen in the Grande Prairie Cancer Clinic at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital.
