Teaching Ms. 'Bo: March 2009
http://kt-space.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Teaching Ms. 'Bo. A Colorado girl with a Communications degree from Washington, attempting to teach in Texas. A teacher by trade, a student in life. Friday, March 6, 2009. I had two moments so far in teaching where I felt like I was about to lose my mind (minor cases of this feeling occur quite often, but these two occasions. The constant redirecting was about to push me over the edge one day in particular. I stood up, maneuvering through the sea of five-year- olds. You need your crown! And go running ac...

Tales of Intrigue: December 2006
http://talesofintrigue.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Random musings and other hopefully un-boring things. Thursday, December 21, 2006. Written shortly after the November elections. STATE OF A NATION. We are people so blessed, but our blessing’s a curse. For it seals shut our eyes as it fattens our purse. We celebrate selfishness posing as love. We lift up each wolf in the clothes of a dove. We’ve opened our minds (and diluted the truth),. We despise age’s wisdom (we’d rather have youth). We totter on fences, one foot on each side. From the minds of children.

Teaching Ms. 'Bo. A Colorado girl with a Communications degree from Washington, attempting to teach in Texas. A teacher by trade, a student in life. Monday, January 26, 2009. 8220;Now when I say ‘I have a dream,’ I’m not talking about what you dreamt about in your sleep last night or dreaming about a new bike… I’m talking about your dreams for your future- what you want to be and do with your life.”. Can that charge be internalized by five-year-olds? Can five-year-olds internalize that charge? 8220;I wil...

Teaching Ms. 'Bo: December 2008
http://kt-space.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Teaching Ms. 'Bo. A Colorado girl with a Communications degree from Washington, attempting to teach in Texas. A teacher by trade, a student in life. Wednesday, December 24, 2008. I've made it through my first six months of teaching! At points I thought it wasn't possible, but now I am able to take a step back at Christmas, with some rested perspective, and look at what this experience has shown me so far. Truths and lessons learned:. A) Kids are dirty and have turned me into a germaphobe. Do eat me."...

In Transition: Health
http://carjoson.blogspot.com/2008/02/health.html
Tuesday, February 19, 2008. Today I’m thankful I have a healthy body, and that my most of my family and close friends do too. When I hear about friends of friends who are experiencing extreme health struggles (cancer, strokes, paralysis, etc…) I realize how often I take for granted my lack of maladies. In the meantime, between here and heaven, I ask God to comfort the hurting, heal the sick, and bind up the brokenhearted. To bind us up, over and over again! February 19, 2008. February 20, 2008.

In Transition: March 2009
http://carjoson.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 14, 2009. Yes, I pretty much abandoned this blog for an entire year. I don't expect anyone to be checking back, but for anyone who may stumble upon it- I figure I owe an explanation, or at least an update! So, life got busy. That's the main thing. Lots of changes have happened. I got married to the love of my life on June 17, 2008. We had a reception in Vancouver, BC, Canada and one in Colorado Springs. We've had much fun hiking, skiing, and living life together. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tales of Intrigue: October 2006
http://talesofintrigue.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Random musings and other hopefully un-boring things. Sunday, October 29, 2006. Acts of Dubious Intelligence #1. Take some time out of your day today and simply observe the other people who share our tiny slice of this great big planet. What I believe you will find is that many people are frightfully lacking in common sense, for they do things that anyone who possessed that fine trait would never consider. 1) Riding a Motorcycle without a Helmet. Ah, the life I lead. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tales of Intrigue: March 2007
http://talesofintrigue.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Random musings and other hopefully un-boring things. Sunday, March 11, 2007. Why I love city neighborhoods. I am a stranger in this mess of neighbors and, new to this part of Denver, I am all eyes and ears. I am not disappointed. After ordering my mocha with soy, I plop down at small table in the center of the place, facing a wall of windows- the perfect people-watching post. Men in suits (Jehovahs' Witnesses, perhaps? My silence must mean that it's alright. Slight annoyance fades to mild amusement a...

Teaching Ms. 'Bo. A Colorado girl with a Communications degree from Washington, attempting to teach in Texas. A teacher by trade, a student in life. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Just what the teacher ordered. Tuesday, October 14, 2008. If there is one thing about teaching that is predictable, it is that it will be chaotic. This week was incredibly so. Guitar shop employee: "I see you have a band aid,". Me: "Yeah, I'm a Kindergarten teacher." (hoping that would be enough of an explanation). So ringworm br...

Teaching Ms. 'Bo. A Colorado girl with a Communications degree from Washington, attempting to teach in Texas. A teacher by trade, a student in life. Friday, October 9, 2009. Spirituality in the Kindergarten classroom. I've had some funny cases of spirituality through the eyes of five-year- olds. Come up in my classroom over the past few days. Matt, what are you doing? He answered with a tone of frustration as if what he was doing should be. It's like praying.". Do you mean groveling Matt? I asked with th...
