Stuff The Pension 2 →. July 18, 2014 · 3:42 pm. Stuff The Pension. Chapter 1. The End. I am writing this on a bench in a launderette in Willesden. Do you know Willesden? Think of W.C.Fields tombstone: On the whole, I’d rather be in Philadelphia. Nothing like Hanif Kureishi’s Beautiful Launderette, this is a daggy, abandon-hope-all-ye-who enter-here launderette. Daggy. Picked that up in Australia. No idea what it means. Below disgusting I think. I chucked in the job with a pension and wandered for two yea...

Scribbling.net | notes on tech and life

Mdash; notes on tech and life. Just five bucks a month. I was a web developer for nearly 20 years before I ever built web pages that accept payments from customers. Im not sure if that’s a comment on my career in particular or the industry as a whole. But the day finally arrived in 2013, when we at ThinkUp. Decided to try something different: build a web business supported by customer subscriptions instead of advertising. The Great Twitter Unfollow. Before I do, I wanted to make a note here. The Scribbling Alchemist | Full of useful insanity

Full of useful insanity. June 6, 2014. So you’re probably wondering what I’ve been up to. Welp, aside from my graduation and not-quite-fruitful-yet job search, I’ve been making terrariums! All my moss terrariums! Sorry about the quality, had to use my tablet camera for these beauties. Why terrariums, you ask? For starters, I’ve seen a few of those fancy terrarium photos going around Etsy and Tumblr, and got project envy. A container that waters itself for weeks and looks spiffy? This terrarium is similar...

Scribbling Angel

Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Trying out something Korean. Years ago, two aunts who lived in Cainta had a Korean neighbor whom we fondly call Oma. Oma was such an excellent cook, and how she loves to have others sample the fare she whips out from her kitchen. I had a grand time finishing off her kalbi chim, bulgogi, Korean beef stew, and the like, until Kimchi turned me off hehehe :-p. I can't read Hangul but it's probably the name of the store engraved there. That's my family waiting for the food to arrive.
