Sunday, October 23, 2005. Writing through a routine doesn't do justice all the time. I don't think it's necessary to write daily, though it helps to build further skills. Many veteran, published writers and acclaimed scholars of literature believe it's vital to a writer's overall development and future success. What good is a such a routine if more new writers get proper consideration and feedback of their work in the submission process? Posted by Sports-writer23 at 9:47 PM. Monday, October 17, 2005.

Tuesday, January 31, 2006. Fibbing accounts in non-fiction works. Fiction, on the other hand allows an author to explore creative concepts and their imagination to make up a incredible, entertaining story. If this is what a writer enjoys they should stay within this literature category. Besides, what overall good comes from deceiving readers when trying to sell a potential non-fiction masterpiece? Scriptwrangler: Reason to Write #137

http://scriptwrangler.blogspot.com/2009/11/reason-to-write-137.html

Tips of the Day and Tales of Woe from the World of Screenwriting. Tuesday, November 3, 2009. Reason to Write #137. As a young child I wanted to be a writer because writers were rich and famous. They lounged around Singapore and Rangoon smoking opium in a yellow pongee suit. They sniffed cocaine in Mayfair and penetrated forbidden swamps with a faithful native boy and lived in the native quarter of Tangier smoking hashish and languidly caressing a pet gazelle.". William S. Burroughs, The Adding Machine.

Tips of the Day and Tales of Woe from the World of Screenwriting. Friday, November 28, 2008. Convergence, Structure and New Energy. I'm not sure where to start this post. I went to see The Sisters of Mercy. In concert on Wednesday. They're a band you would have known about had not grunge music drop-kicked goth into a corner in the early 90's. Goth music's found a strange and peaceable immortality. To understand that something important happened when Ian Curtis got on stage. It's also a rock band from Ira...

Tips of the Day and Tales of Woe from the World of Screenwriting. Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Everybody in California has been to a test screening once. Very few have been twice. Like I said, few people make it to a second test screening. Even if you don't know what's going on you leave feeling a little dirty. You'll be pleased to know that marketing is losing its golf pencils. Instead, it's putting the audience into an MRI! The new thing is neurocinema. I imagine watching almost any movie - say, Air Bud.

Tips of the Day and Tales of Woe from the World of Screenwriting. Tuesday, December 30, 2008. The Curious Case of John McCain. I saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. There's a great deal of bravery even taking on a tale like this. The writer, Eric Roth. Is an old hand. He's written everything from The Good Shepherd to Forrest Gump to The Concorde.Airport '79. He writes well, and he writes to industry expectations. That's why movies are too predictable and safe! Friday, December 26, 2008. But we tend ...
