Mike Likes –. Lathrop Canyon was an 11 mile round trip from Airport camp areas, well, 13 miles this day as I lost my Cateye speedometer, and dropped back down the first mile of rim to find it in a bush, and back again. The first mile down is a little steep in places, nothing too exciting, the middle two miles are regular canyon road and the last mile to the Colorado River is sand.
