The culinary explorations of a new college graduate. Lemon Sour Cream Muffins. January 3, 2012. Do you ever try out a new recipe just to use up ingredients in the fridge? In my family’s fridge there is a huge bottle of lemon juice as well as a tub of sour cream. Therefore, when I found this recipe for lemon sour cream muffins. I knew I had to make them. The resulting muffins are fluffy, cake-like, and not too sugary, for those of us without a big sweet tooth. Lesson of the day. Blog at WordPress.com.

The culinary explorations of a new college graduate. Restaurant Review: Patricia’s Restaurant. May 26, 2013. How have I never come across Patricia’s before? The food is cheap and fast – I ordered two eggs over easy and toast, alongside a cup of coffee. The whole meal came to about $5. Apparently Patricia’s only serves eggs fried in different ways (scrambled, sunnyside up, etc), so they couldn’t fulfill my cravings for poached eggs. That’s okay – over easy it is! Restaurant Review: Cafe Romeo. May 25, 2013.

The culinary explorations of a new college graduate. Restaurant Review: Pepe’s Pizza. March 8, 2012 1 Comment. I recently ate at Pepe’s, a famous New Haven establishment known for its pizza. It was around 7:30 on a Saturday night and the place was packed. There are actually two buildings for sit-in dining. We waited in line at the one called “The Spot” since it seemed like it had a shorter wait time. We still waited about half an hour before being seated. So, how was the pizza? Blog at WordPress.com.

The culinary explorations of a new college graduate. Restaurant Review: New Haven Meatball House. April 25, 2013. It’s been a while since I’ve written here! Just haven’t been eating out too much this year – but this past Tuesday I ventured with two friends to the New Haven Meatball House. Somewhere I’ve been meaning to go to this whole year. The establishment is located on the corner of Park and Chapel, a bit far from my edge of the campus but I decided to make the trek. I ordered the beef meatballs with...

Scrumptious Beginnings | The culinary explorations of a new college graduate
The culinary explorations of a new college graduate. Cafe: “You” Cafe. August 19, 2014. I came across a cute and minimalist hole-in-the-wall cafe this morning while walking around the neighborhood near Wanfang Hospital MRT in Wenshan District, Taipei. There is a sign above with the Chinese character “you,” meaning friend. The background decor is colorful and vibrant, giving the place a fun vibe despite the small space and old furnishings. Here’s the address of the street: Lane 154, Section 2, Xingl...

Because there is no such thing as scrumptious fast food. Tuesday, September 22, 2015. 172 so the story goes. As per usual, my comp time is floating right up at around 100 hours. Basically, I have to average a part time job for the rest of the year. I'm still not sure how that's going to work out. If my job were a part time job, I wouldn't have this problem to begin with. I guess this is an issue every year. But they make a huge deal about it. Every. Year. But yesterday I ate this:. Links to this post.

The Best Potato Salad Recipe. Posted by We Plus. Asymp; Leave a comment. I have to admit it. I’m the picnic-er who always passes on the potato salad (I also always want to spell potato with an “e” but that’s a whole other post). It’s just not appealing to me to eat mayo and cold, smashed potatoes and pickles in one dish. Adapted from the Pioneer Woman Cooks. The Best Potato Salad. 8-10 small/medium russet potatoes, cut into quarters. 5 green onions, chopped. 4 hard boiled eggs*, chopped. Posted by We Plus.

Scrumptious Bliss | Creating delicious treats for your taste buds
Creating delicious treats for your taste buds. August 17, 2014. I absolutely love rice! Blame it on my Asian heritage, but I could be perfectly content with having a bowl of white steamed rice as a part of my meals everyday for the rest of my life. if I didn’t mind being haunted by the “carb voices” in my head saying. 8220;Resist that white starchy delicious fluff! Sure, it’s still a grain, but packed with all that nutrients, I couldn’t dare turn away from the idea of Kimchi Fried. 1 cup cooked Quinoa.
