http://virtualjenny.blogspot.com/2008/08/art-acquisition.html
The who, the what, the where, the when, the why and the how the hell. Friday, August 22, 2008. A few weeks ago we were visiting the Roq la Rue Gallery. And saw this excellent collection of pop surreal art. Now those of you who have seen my Wolpertinger. Know I like this kind of weird art, but this stuff was a little beyond what we had hanging on our walls. The one I bought is titled Naven Overcomes his Phobia. Posted by Jenny R. The Verge: December 2007
http://virtualjenny.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
The who, the what, the where, the when, the why and the how the hell. Sunday, December 30, 2007. Favorite Things: Texas Pecans. I sat at the dinner table one afternoon and cracked pecans from Jessica's yard - we had brought them back with us after our visit in October, and they'd been sitting quietly in the cabinet just aging. They taste different than pecans from California, and cracking them out of the shell and trying to keep the meat intact proved to be a very meditative activity. Yeah, me in 1977.

The who, the what, the where, the when, the why and the how the hell. Friday, July 18, 2008. Okay, so Mom and I spent the hottest weekend possible in Tucson this July - and loved every minute of it. For Mother's Day I got Mom a trip to Canyon Ranch Spa. And I went along as her cheerleader. We spent a crazy 5 days sweating and exercising, loofa-ing and soaking in the tub. It was awesome. No problem. Need an icy cold towel? No problem. Need anything? The second spa treatment I had was the Shirodhara. As I ...

The who, the what, the where, the when, the why and the how the hell. Sunday, April 27, 2008. Favorite Things: Pecorino with Truffle Honey. I had this once (and again) at Lampreia, and have finally been able to reproduce it. I still need to perfect the melting of the cheese, but damn, this is on my last supper list. The Verge: Lucy Bland at the Triple Door Musiquarium
http://virtualjenny.blogspot.com/2008/07/lucy-bland-at-triple-door-musiquarium.html
The who, the what, the where, the when, the why and the how the hell. Thursday, July 10, 2008. Lucy Bland at the Triple Door Musiquarium. Lucy Bland had a terrific couple of sets recently at the Triple Door Musiquarium here in Seattle. The crowd was good, foot traffic even better, and although the stage was tiny, they really got in there and played at crowd-level. Nice job! Posted by Jenny R. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). One local summer: July 2007
http://onelocalsummer.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 30, 2007. Well, I'm late today. Way too much going on this weekend, but here's the run down. Carmen decided to join the breakfast club by having some whole wheat pancakes. By the way, is it OK to say I like that movie even if I am a guy? Well even if it isn't, I'm going to say I like that movie quite a bit. Same with Can't Buy Me Love and Sixteen Candles.anyway. Karl was so busy eating local meals I don't know how he found time for anything else. One time he ate a cow named Merlin. She serve...

The Gatlin Family: June 2009
http://larios-gatlin.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 15, 2009. Our little old man. No pictures yet, just a story. Lately Jackson has been saying phrases that make him sound, well, old. He's been saying "Be careful! For quite a while now, not surprising considering that he's been walking/running since 11 months and those are two phrases we use pretty often with him. But lately it's gone farther. Music on the car radio? Windows rolled down as we drive? I can't wait to try that one out on the neighborhood kids. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
