It is officially recorded that the National Convention of the Sons of Confederate Veterans was held in Houston, Texas in the year 1920. Albert Sidney Johnston Camp Number 67 hosted the event, and members assembled in the parlor of the Rice Hotel and then walked three blocks to the city auditorium, where the Ball was held.
