I’ve titled this page based on George Orwell’s short, yet insightful essay of the same name. Some years after I first read it, I stumbled upon a book on fiction writing that highlighted the three ‘I’s’ in the title when read aloud, reflecting Orwell’s comments that writing is undeniably a lone activity, and also, a very selfish one.
