Keeping You Informed About ALA Happenings. Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Two Chapter Councilors elected to the Planning and Budget Assembly: Rodney Lippard and Gina Persichini. The newly revised and updated eighth edition of the Intellectual Freedom Manual is now available for purchase. Choose Privacy Week was very successful and will be held again May 1-7, 2011. Approved CD #19.5, the Prisoners’ Right to Read. ALA was delighted that 450 librarians from 88 countries were able to attend the conference this year.
