This time of year the wetlands in California's central valley are teeming with birds which have stopped here to winter. This backwater of the Consumnes River is the habitat of ducks, geese, swans and other water fowl. At the end of the day birds from all over the valley come here to spend the night. Proper HDR - sdosremedios

Originally uploaded by SdosRemedios. I've been struggling with the "proper" use of HDR techniques to produce quality high images. Here is an example of increased detail without the surrealism normally associated with HDR shots. The location is a small farm near the northern tip of Pt.
