Just an update really,reason for the reblog,as you will be aware I got the J curve back from Matt,he did a fab job and it’s great to be fishing with it,I forgot how good it was(as if). Not only does it feel the part but it now looks the part too, cheers Matt for turning a good rod into a great one,Just looking at the build has made me aware of where I can better mine so it was worth while in my eyes. December 3, 2013. Has come and gone,not a bad year it has to be said,is the fishing improving? Did I really just say that, of course you were right your alway’s right. Saying that it was just as thrilling to cast out a 3 hook flapper into the channel with size 6 hooks and bring in a full house of blenny’s,another first for me. Well we woke to a great quiet morning,wanting not to waste the good weather a walk around low and high dam was on the cards so off we set.Had a fab time too highly recommend it heres a few pic’s. No I’m not Dead. January 25, 2014. I said I was not blogging anymore,there has been quite a few people dropping in to see if this was true.Well to an extent it is.I have not been fishing now in 11 weeks so what…? Louie just lives for big walks,which helps when I am out looking for a new fishy spot to try. Not that there’s many place’s to catch bass in these few photo’s.No wonder I’m going wrong. A Few Days Off. February 8, 2014. And still no fishing.Photography woohoo…….Was decorating for most of the time but was allowed a few hours off for good behaviour.Off I went with my kit bag for company,I jollied along the A590 pondering on where to go. Yes there will be fishing soon….well maybe. Also had a crack at the wire wool trick ,really enjoyed this and can see why people do it,was great fun. No show without Punch as they say,here he is both now fully recovered from being neutered. Must get out more.

The Century J Curve saga. October 2, 2013. So anyway Matt stripped the butt ring tonight(Pardon! And found the staining is definitely just that,no rust visible. So just so all of you know,don’t panic if your rod is newish and showing signs of age,it is nothing major and will cost you a small fortune to get it to look like it did when leaving the factory. Yes I like my fishing rods to look nice and the j curve is no different,starting to look worthy of the money I paid for it. Thursday, October 3, 2013.
