This week we did a science experiment guided by local professor Dr. Toska Olson-Rexroat from Evergreen College. In our experiment we learned about the building blocks of comets. Over the past few weeks we have been studying the concept of simple machines. We started with a very basic lesson plan format. Each step of the process is based around the maker process of starting with a concept and working through the brainstorming process. For this maker project we tried to follow these steps for each stage of the process.

Monday, December 22, 2014. Les douze jours de Noël". We are so fortunate at Seabury. Cole to have Mesdames Olliphant et Tulasne teach us. Français. At our all school Gathering las. T week, the Paons (the Peacocks) sang Madame Olliphant's French version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas." It is impressive to hear so many students singing all the words to all the verses all the way through. Bravo, bravo! And even the teachers learn a bit of French- by osmosis and with un petite help from Google translator.

Friday, June 5, 2015. Beach Day is a long Seabury tradition. Spending all day at the beach, eating pizza, playing in the sand, and finishing with ice pops is hard to beat. The tradition in the Peacocks class is to have a sand castle building contest. Many of the students still remember the award they won last year.
