Sea Changes Sailing with Dan and Allyson: Virgin Islands, the view from Ixion

http://www.seachangessailing.blogspot.com/2015/06/virgin-islands-view-from-ixion.html

Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Virgin Islands, the view from Ixion. During our couple weeks sailing with Ixion they took some pics of us and Sarah in full cruising mode. Looks very glamorous from a different of view. Sometimes we were so caught up in the weather, boat maintenance, finding water and groceries you forget how lucky you are to be exploring the Caribbean. Buck Island snorkeling with Bela on the lookout for sharks. Shark detail at Christmas Cove. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sea Changes Sailing with Dan and Allyson: So eine Scheisse

http://www.seachangessailing.blogspot.com/2014/07/so-eine-scheisse.html

Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Holding Tank Break Dancing. One of the only artsy SHURflo macerator pump pictures ever. Scheisse can be directed to the macerator via a y-valve. Eat your heart out super mario bros! It took one day to do the electrical and another day to do the plumbing. It was kind of a smelly task with 90 degree heat outside. Although not a very pleasant project, it was a piece of cake compared to the windvane installation. More on that next time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sea Changes Sailing with Dan and Allyson: Respirators and the triangle of misery

http://www.seachangessailing.blogspot.com/2014/06/respirators-and-triangle-of-misery.html

Sunday, June 8, 2014. Respirators and the triangle of misery. This picture basically sums up the last 4 weeks of our life; Put on respirator, crawl into small space, recite expletives, rinse, repeat. Shortly after this shot, Allyson was laying on her back in the anchor locker yelling "you're dead to me Neilan! Prepping for the bowsprit installation. Painted it with some barrier coat I had leftover from bottom painting. It won't stay white for long . Allyson spent hours, sanding, cleaning and varnishing t...

Sea Changes Sailing with Dan and Allyson: Final Dinghy Adventure

http://www.seachangessailing.blogspot.com/2015/06/final-dinghy-adventure.html

Tuesday, June 30, 2015. To keep with tradition, Bela and Dan decided to do their last dinghy adventure at high noon in the tropics. After 2,000 miles of sailing, a 1 mile dinghy ride and a 2 mile hike up an unshaded blistering road they finally reached the eastern most point of the United States. Mission Accomplished! The start of the walk brought us by one of the SETI radio antennas. "ET phone St. Croix.". Point Udall off in the distance (further than I thought). Looking west over St. Croix. Respirators...

Julie and the Baer Necessities. Wednesday, August 5, 2015. We've been able to enjoy a few concerts in Lexington on Tuesdays. Julie and the Baer Necessities: Flying Teacups?

http://julie-baernecessities.blogspot.com/2015/08/flying-teacups.html

Julie and the Baer Necessities. Sunday, August 9, 2015. We sort of thought this was a kiddie ride, but it was really the spinning teacups that fly through the air. Charlie was fine even when we spun it really fast (we know it was fast because we asked the ride operator to confirm that it was actually fast, not that it just felt fast to us). Charlie did fall over as soon as he walked through the exit gate. Labels: New England Trips. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Were ready for more! And we all smiled.

We are currently getting 24 more inches. Thank goodness for this snowblower! Sunday, February 1, 2015. This was Baer's first trip out to clear snow on Tuesday morning. We weren't even half way done with the storm. We are also the last road in town to get plowed I'm pretty sure. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Julie and the Baer Necessities: November 2014

http://julie-baernecessities.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Julie and the Baer Necessities. Saturday, November 29, 2014. We had a nice fall day to hang out with Uncle Kevo. We skyped with Danny and Allyson who were down in Miami. Played with trains and dinosaurs. Visited with Scott and Steph and took a new family picture. Friday, November 21, 2014. We had a Thomas the Train costume but Charlie gave a very firm "no" to it. He also gave a very firm "no" to anything at the store that I showed him so we went as a lumberjack. A holding a flashlight. B knocking on doors.
