Thursday, 28 August 2008. Orcasome Sightings this Week! Friday, 25 January 2008. How was the 2007 season for you? March is always a fickle month. The season is just starting and both the wild and human visitors are just starting to arrive. As usual the porpoises were in abundance showing signs of increased feeding to the delight of our inshore boat, but the whales were proving harder to find. Lucky passengers were surrounded by groups of 5 or 6 whales feeding round the boat and the Common Dolphins had arrived as well and were sighted regularly through the mon...

Captain's Log: July 2008
http://sealifesurveys.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, 31 July 2008. Bottlenose Dolphins play around Sula Beag. The local bottlenose dolphins were in the northern waters around Mull yesterday and treated the lucky passengers and crew aboard Sula Beag to a fantastic encounter. Thanks to a call from a local fishing boat (who were kindly rewarded with Mars bars), we all knew there were dolphins in the area - it was just a case of finding them! The pod continued following the coastline south while we investigated a basking shark feeding at the surface.

Friday, 11 October 2013. Wildlife Adventure - 9th October 2013. Strong winds made for challenging conditions today as we covered waters in the Sound of Mull. Gannets and Kittiwakes seen tackling the strong winds with ease and a good number of Common Seals at their local haul out site. A great plankton sample was displayed on the microscope for all to see. The changeable weather produced some fantastic rainbows and shades of light on the hills of Mull and Movern. Posted by Sea Life Surveys at 10:11 am.
