Wednesday, 22 January 2014. The Night Goblin returns! This was a personal project I started (and eventually finished :P ) about a year ago, although it really doesn't seem that long ago! I decided to come back and do a posed render of the high poly. I'm pretty pleased with the result despite the polypainted version of the model being lost when my HD died. He has a smaller Goblin/Snotling friend now too. I'm working on a paint-over during my lunchtimes but it'll be some time before its finished.

Thursday, 21 February 2013. Night Goblin WIP 12. Baked maps and had time for a quick screeny of the low poly with maps applied in marmoset. Maps on show are Diffuse colour ( AO and Cavity), Normal map and Translucency applied to the ears. No spec colour, gloss or emissive yet. Friday, 8 March 2013. Night Goblin WIP 18. Low poly hood complete! Robes next. :). Thursday, 7 March 2013. Night Goblin WIP 16. The shield is now complete, although I still need to create specular/gloss maps for everything. I'd prefer to do all the spec maps at once so I'll probably leave them as one of my final tasks or at least until the robes are complete. I may eventually experiment with mirroring the moon insignia and use it atop a battle standard. I think it might work well. Friday, 1 March 2013.

Thursday, 18 April 2013. Thought I'd post up some clearer renders as some people said they had trouble picking the character out from the background. My two monitors have some slightly contradictory contrast ratios so getting the light/dark levels right can be a bit tricky. If I have any other shots I'll probably just update this post with them. Friday, 25 January 2013. Night Goblin WIP 01. This is a character project I started not long before christmas. I'm currently working on it during my spare time, mostly nights and the occasional lunch break. The character is a Night Goblin from the sinister world of Warhammer fantasy. I also wanted the design to be quite muscular compared to average scrawny Warhammer goblins. This decision was influenced by two things. The first being a bit of lore-. I want my Goblin to be doped up on fungus beer :).

Monday, 16 April 2012. Here's a taste of current animation tests for the Tyrant and Dretch. These animations feature my models and textures but the animations themselves were not created by myself.All animation shown here is the work of Gavlig. The guy churns out animations like a beast so I'm sure there will be more to show soon.
