Reese's Pieces: April 2009
http://rickandkristen.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Play, Laugh, Grow. What a joy to just sit and watch Reese explore her environment - after just recently attending a brain conference I am even more appreciative of what must be going on between her little ears these days! What better way to appreciate the complexity of the brain than to observe a toddler as he/she begins to engage with their environment? She took her sweet time in the walking department and is still no pro, running is clumsy and uneven terrain is a challenge...

Reese's Pieces: October 2008
http://rickandkristen.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 22, 2008. This past weekend we went back to Atkinson for a few days.Reese did good in the car and went down for naps and bedtime no problems! She had her first real experiences with horses and cattle and wasn't the least bit afraid. Fall makes for great outdoor photos! It looks as though roping might also make the list! Reese can be a bit stingy in the smile department - especially around new faces (except for the 5 and under crowd - she loves kids! Sunday, October 12, 2008. Lots of hi...

Reese's Pieces: November 2008
http://rickandkristen.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 7, 2008. Pumpkin Patch and Halloween. Well Ms. Reese has been practing her "Ma ma mas" and "Da da das". We have a feeling her first purposeful word will likely be "Puppy". She loves her dogs! Maya and Reese are especially becoming fast friends.it all started when Reese figured out how to "share" - she delights herself in handing toys to mom and dad. Of course, we respond with an overemphasized "THANK YOU! Reese and her cousin Ashton on Halloween. Reese has FIVE teeth now! She pulls up on...

Reese's Pieces: Lifetime Fitness
http://rickandkristen.blogspot.com/2009/03/lifetime-fitness.html
Sunday, March 29, 2009. So we joined a new gym (for Reese OF COURSE! We do love the gym and are excited to have more "family time" together playing at the pools this summer! Talking up a storm - and taking a few steps (10-15 at most). We are enjoying every new stage of parenting! Looking better now but we are going to be especially careful in the pool - get her buns in the shower ASAP after getting out! Pool chemicals and sensitive skin don't go together well. Friday, December 26, 2008. And so we begin our collection of "Santa photos! We were thankful to not be in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit this Christmas but some things were easier there.Santa came to us. This year we were given the opportunity to experience the WAIT in line for Santa -. After our arrival - our big debut - the 3 second photo shoot! If we had told them that it was Reese's birthday - they would have let us to the front of the line? Friday, December 12, 2008. I wish I could say. I wish I c...

Reese's Pieces: October 2009
http://rickandkristen.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 8, 2009. Nothing like the annual trip to one of the local pumpkin patches - so much to do.petting baby chicks (CAREFUL not to squeeze! Squealing at the rabbits, flying high in the tire swing and riding the horse solo were just a few of our favorites! Really.we aren't supposed to laugh? Reese sings her ABCs, counts to ten, sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and knows her colors. Reading? Maybe next week :) We are truly amazed at how fast young children can learn!

Reese's Pieces: July 2009
http://rickandkristen.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 25, 2009. We had a surprise 75th birthday party in Kearney for grandma - all but two of the kids made it home. This is a photo of grandma with grandkids and great grandkids. So nice to see everyone! Reese had a great time with her cousin Connor - jumping on the couch, spraying the hose in the backyard (she would hold the dog water dish, he would fill it, she would dump it on herself and request "more please" and so it continued.too funny! Meltdown triggers - loosing the pink kitty or the p...

Reese's Pieces: SO FUN!
http://rickandkristen.blogspot.com/2009/06/so-fun.html
Thursday, June 25, 2009. Just a couple videos to share - I can not even start to describe how much joy Ms. Reese brings to our lives these days. At just 18 months old her vocabulary is limitless - she will try to pronounce about everything and has numerous words that she uses regularly. Just a few - shoes, medicine, puppy, outside, oh shoot, I get it, where'd it go? I didn't even know she knew the word "choke"? We, too, are big fans of this age. wish we were closer so our girls could play together!
