Monday, April 30, 2012. Dear Michael Jackson.this is not like ABC, 123, Do Re Mi. This is me trying to teach a 16 month old how to speak. This is tough stuff. I try to put myself in her position and imagine someone speaking to me in some foreign language and expecting me to respond.for the most part she is doing really well. She is doing really well so far and she can say the following words:. Momma and Mommy (which is used for me and Sean, and for when she wants something). Baby (which is her blanket).

Sunday, May 20, 2012. Sean was off the entire week and we had more of a "staycation" than a vacation, which, honestly, was amazing. We got away to the Grand for a few days and rebuilt our back deck (pics up soon). But in the meantime, here are a few of our growing baby girl and her ever-so-changing personality. Wednesday, March 21, 2012. We had a blast in Dothan, AL this past weekend with our friends Brett and Crystal. We went to the park, where we saw a ton of animals and had some good ole fashioned ice cream. Sean got to go play golf with Brett and Josh on Saturday morning while Crystal and I hung out with Baby Girl! We went out the next day to this place called "Zach's" for some "authentic Dothan food" as Crystal likes to say. Talk about home cooking! She is a southern girl for sure! Brett and SD swinging:.

Friday, June 11, 2010. Last weekend we went to watch SC in her first dance recital. I can say one thing she sure was cute! PS my husband is pretty handsome. I am one lucky girl! I haven't had a whole lot to comment on lately. Things have been pretty boring. I have been spending most of my time studying for the real estate exam, I am hopefully taking next week. It wasn't easy though, she later in the evening said she didn't want to stay the night and she wanted her mommy to come get her.but I wasn't willing to give up. I told her okay, and then proceeded to let her fall asleep watching a movie. SUCCESS! The next morning we all went to Cracker Barrel for some breakfast/lunch. YUM! So, a busy but a very good weekend indeed! So, So Happy.

Thursday, May 27, 2010. Well I am officially getting old. I just went to my little brother's High School graduation. I am eight years older than him. I mean I used to change his diapers! Lets just say I got a little emotional. Our aunt, uncle, grandmother, and cousins came in from Arkansas for the ceremony. We had a great time! The ceremony lasted about 3 hours because there were 406 graduates! Me with my little Brother! All the siblings even the in-laws! Whole family.with cheezin Trace. So, So Happy.

Tuesday, June 22, 2010. He was a super nice guy. We fed him lots of food and he hung out with us for several hours. I asked him what he was going to do when he got to Key West and he said "walk back". Then he was on his way. I can not imagine ever being able to just drop everything and do that. He was a really happy fella though. I met a bunch of family that I haven't gotten to meet yet. Such sweet people. I regret to admit that I didn't take a single picture though! I am very mad at myself. Sorry!

Down home with the Elys'. Saturday, September 7, 2013. Summer is FINALLY over. And I say that with all the love I can muster. I love my kids, but I sure love them more when they are at school! We did have a great summer, tho. Sean and I kept pinching ourselves to be sure it was really under 80 degrees almost the entire time! And we had to break out jackets several time!
