Home page image is from. Oil and wax medium on canvas. The poster comp drawings are ink and gouache on drafting film or paper. The wallpaper drawings are ink and gouache on vintage wallpaper from a Birge sample book circa 1967. In Series 2 each painting is taken to the point where the image and surface seem to coalesce, so the technique and surface finishes varysome are built up in layers of brushed-on paint, others are rubbed or sanded, repainted or tinted, then sanded and repainted again.
