An Implementation of the Marching Cubes Algorithm. I was recently reminded of some work I did a number of years ago involving the Marching Cubes. Algorithm[1] for constructing a surface triangulation from 3D data. The algorithm was designed back in 1987 as a way to construct a surface to visualize CT and MRI data. Though I’m guessing it’s not the most efficient method of constructing a surface now, the algorithm is very easy to understand, so I decided to share my implementation. So how does it work?
