Grandad's parents James Booth, 28, and Annie Baines (nee Howard), 29, were married in Southport, he was a fishmongers assistant and she a widow. All I know is that Annie was married before to John Baines, who went off to war and asked his friend, James to look after his wife and family while he was away.
