http://searchingfortheflashlight.blogspot.com/2011/06/things-our-children-say.html
Catholic, homeschooling wife and mother searches for the rays of light to lead them closer to God and His will. Tuesday, June 7, 2011. Things Our Children Say. I always think to myself, "THAT is so funny! I have to remember to put it on the blog." At one time I had a notebook that I wrote these things down in and kept pictures and memories etc. I think that ended about 10 years ago.maybe eight. Mommy, how many cousins do we have? Right, plus another three.". 10 year old chimes in, "Eleven.". Six children...

Catholic, homeschooling wife and mother searches for the rays of light to lead them closer to God and His will. Monday, February 18, 2013. Retirement, moving, new home build, school. So we have officially moved into the world of military retirees! Who knew that this would really ever happen? The kids and I were able to precede Andy from VA to MI by three days and stop in West Virginia and visit some dear friends and their awesome kids. We had such a good time! Then we headed to Kansas to help my dad and ...

Catholic, homeschooling wife and mother searches for the rays of light to lead them closer to God and His will. Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Number one way you can tell you are behind on.well, everything. Your blog does not include the birth of your youngest child. And she is NINE months old. Sigh. Here is Elizabeth Anne, born 6 August 2011. I SAID I was behind. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Catholic, homeschooling wife and mother searches for the rays of light to lead them closer to God and His will. Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Hair and the garage. I will have to enjoy hair vicariously. Mine isn't really growing and I see no point in getting it cut so that it can continue to get shorter? Fastest garage clean up EVER. Not the most complete but really fast. April 7, 2015. You see yellow fog. Slick, inexorable, insinuating;. I see God's fingertips. Everywhere I look, soft pools of pine pollen outline puddles in the road and puff as my feet run through the pinestraw. I made it out for a run before noon for once. My thoughts roamed. I wrote a poem. When will I die? Longleaf pines. "Infinite variety" as a trite phrase and a foundation shaking reality. Pink running shoes. Is it a haiku? More of the poem. the Mays' Days: Hand Me Down Closet
http://themaysdays.blogspot.com/2014/11/hand-me-down-closet.html
November 10, 2014. Hand Me Down Closet. When we decided that our master bedroom and bathroom and closet were ridiculously large for 2 people, we put 4 kids in the bedroom, divided the bathroom into a dressing room and a full bath, and turned the walk-in closet into a clothes and shoe store. The clothes are divided based on how I shop:. Tape labels on the hangers seem like. The best method for making it easy to read. And knowing where to put things away. I am. Thinking about a way to label all the clothes.

May 1, 2013. As the twins prepared for the Sacrament of Confirmation, the director of religious described this sacrament as stirring up the Holy Spirit in your soul the way that chocolate syrup is stirred up into milk. You could leave it at the bottom of the glass, or you can stir it up. Well, they've been stirred! And his sponsor and godmother Michele. And his sponsor and our dear friend Paula. September 20, 2013. Anti post-partum hemorrhage green smoothie. About 6 or 8 weeks before my delivery date, I decided to get really serious about seeing what I could do to avoid a post partum hemorrhage. This was pregnancy #10 and I have had serious hemorrhages several times before. I was already trying to follow the Brewer pregnancy diet and drink lots of water as a part of a healthy pregnancy diet. But the biggest change was that. Anti Post-partum Hemorrhage Smoothie. Pour into a 12 oz glass. As I was ...
the Mays' Days: Easter Sunday
http://themaysdays.blogspot.com/2015/04/easter-sunday.html
April 4, 2015. Since the boys will be serving the 7am Easter Mass as usual, we need a quick but celebretory breakfast. I've decided to serve whole milk Brown Cow yogurt and make hot cross scones that I found on the blog post above, to be eaten at 5:30 am. I lied. I made the usual scone recipe but with Zante currants and hot cross bun spices. I'm sure they'll be great and won't require me to make mascarpone cheese. :). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). April 15, 2014. Today Thomas was bugging a sibling because he had nothing better to do. Sibling in question was getting huffy and whiny and I kept hearing, "Thomas, STOP IT! In an ear-splitting tone. Remember what we read today about not disturbing someone's inner peace is part of 'thou shalt not kill'! I sang from the next room. And then, "Wait." and finally and satisfyingly, "Oh darn." led me to believe that he had gotten the message. Whew! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Nuggets of Gold
Wednesday, 11 February 2015. Are you a Strictly fan? Remember how dear old Brucie would turn to every. Couple after completing their dance and say "you're my favourite". In a slightly patronising but endearing way? One that only Brucie could get away with! It became a bit of a catchphrase, an 'in' joke and everyone began to recognise it as just that - a joke. Here are a few symptoms that rear their head, when I am putting people's approval above God. A reluctance to share my views, particularly my faith.

Searching For The Good
Searching For The Good. Sunday, August 5, 2012. Ohmigosh, I still have a blog! So, it's full-on summer here in the desert and while I really try to avoid going outside while it's hovering near 115 degrees outside, awhile back I bought a decent sprinkler and a decent timer and now.we kind of have a lawn in the backyard! So, I took some "Before" photos to peek at when I catch myself thinking that nothing's changed. ;). The pond insert has been hanging about for awhile ended up getting propped against the f...

Searching for the good life | …….one grape at a time
Searching for the good life. 8230;….one grape at a time. November 3, 2016. Although not just something . I know exactly what it (they) is (are). There were a few things that failed to make it on to the property particulars when we moved to Marlborough and, more specifically, to Paradise. But that’s not it. What’s bugging me is bugs. Not affecting me personally, but there’s most certainly a fleeting possibility of threat for our precious babies budding out in the vineyard. No matter how many times we are ...
