It marks renewal and the much anticipated release from the icy grasp of winter. The woods are filled with magical sounds. sights and smells. All the world is alive. How can one not celebrate the marvel of this season! Scarcely is the the sugar rush emptied from the bush. When new life emerges everywhere. Gone is the the drab tawniness the lingering leafy remnants of fall,.

A new way: I see the color
http://gerriblogs.blogspot.com/2012/02/i-see-color.html

It soon dawned on me it was the clumps of newly opened daffodils popping with happiness over the spring weather! Friday, March 9, 2012. Morning in the woods.

Sunday, October 9, 2011. My first juried acceptance brings honorable mention. The Model - watercolor and pencil. Last year I entered a piece for consideration in a juried show and it wasn't selected. No problem. I basically did it for the experience, having never gone through the process before. I didn't expect to get selected. Entries totalled 150 pieces by 53 artists. The juror selected 39 pieces for exhibit and presented 11 awards. I feel truly honored to be among those 11. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
