This original statue was stolen in 2003 and has since been replaced. See What a Lovely Aria. From The Daily Mail in 2003 who appear to have muddled their doctors! Dr Nora also compiled Up the Steps a series of tales written for children based on the tales she heard from fishermen and their families of shipwreck and rescue, smugglers and the revenue men along the Suffolk coast.

This is the view of the Aldeburgh beach from a spot just in front of the Lifeboat Station. The sky really was this blue just after 9:00 on Tuesday 24th August 2010. One of the few bright days in a rather soggy Suffolk week. So while a little artifice went into producing the panorama, the sky is genuine. A slightly cropped version of this panorama is available as a greetings card from our shop.
