Cook’s Compass – Blog. 124; Comments RSS. Posted on June 25, 2008. Getting my first delivery of veggies from my CSA was as exciting and interesting as I had hoped. The season starts out fairly light with a lot of leafy salad greens, some turnips and radishes, and herbs. In the photo to the right (from top to bottom) is cilantro, Hakurei Turnips, Chives with flowers, and radishes. Ok, a little balsamic and olive oil dressing, but that’s it! 124; Tagged: cooking. 124; Leave a comment. A few weeks ago about...

It’s become a very large event, bringing together everyone with an idea to sell and more. Since we’ve been in marketing mode, we met a number of interesting folks who seemed to be interested in our idea! Hopefully this will pick up a few visits at least! 124; Leave a comment. Cook’s Compass – Blog. 124; Comments RSS. Square Milk Jugs – ‘Green’ Solution or Spilt Milk? Posted on July 7, 2008. Costco and Wal-Mart (in their Sam’s Club locations) have started selling new square jugs of milk. Made of recyclable plastic, this new design allows for tight stacking translating into more milk in less space in trucks and in stores (at Sam’s Club 224 gallons of milk can now fit in coolers that used to hold 80) meaning only 2 deliveries a week is needed instead of 5. 124; Leave a comment.
