Silken threads: November 2005
http://silkenthreads.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 29, 2005. Well, the snow's history now. It rained all day on Monday and I got soaking wet while going to the grocery store (and yes, I had a car). Today it's been snowing on and off. Big fat flakes. They melt the moment they hit the ground but look very beautiful coming down, viewed through a window. Posted by Toukan äiti at 6:54 PM. Sunday, November 27, 2005. Yep, so I didn't find anything nice and free as a template so will have to settle with this one for now. I decided to create a b...

Friday, February 24, 2006. I'm not feeling well at the moment. My throat is hurting and I've got a slight fever, so I'll head back under the quilts and get some tea and try to get better. Thursday, April 27, 2006. I recently got this book:. And there are a ton of things I'd like to do. These especially have caught my eye:. And now I just read somewhere that Rowan is going to discontinue their Yorkshire Tweed yarn range (most of the projects in the book use it)! I guess I better stock up (oh, and buy the Yorkshire Fable book. Posted by Toukan äiti at 7:58 PM. Monday, April 24, 2006. I've been sewing again! Trek - Aren't they lovely? They are Dinky Dyes. Silken threads: May 2006
http://silkenthreads.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 30, 2006. In the nick of time. Just before May is over. Here is my interpretation of a smock, for tie-one-on's. And a bad mirror self portrait. I was inspired by this beautiful smock. I'm really enjoying Tie one on. It's a great way for me to experiment and practice making my own patterns. For this, I used a cotton fabric I've had for years. I've previously used it on a quilt and also Olga. The wee bunny I made a while ago. I still have lots of it left. Posted by Toukan äiti at 6:40 PM.

Silken threads: June 2006
http://silkenthreads.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 30, 2006. Like most people, I have big, huge, enormous dreams and a whole bunch of smaller ones. This one's definitely on the small side, but it's nice to have it realized all the same :). I've been day-dreaming about a new ironing board cover for a long time now. The ultimate dream has been to get one of these Cath Kidston. And this cost me practically nothing :) Now all I want to do is iron ;). On top of it, you can see the camera pouch I made. Posted by Toukan äiti at 10:25 AM. I stitched...

Silken threads: January 2006
http://silkenthreads.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 27, 2006. I got mail :). Loads of pictures in this one. I received my order from Get Knitted. Inside was the newest issue of Vogue Knitting and although I don't think it is as good an issue as a few of the previous ones have been, there was a lot I liked. I really liked these:. And I already ordered the yarn for the scarf in the last picture. It's by Debbie Bliss and done in her Cashmerino yarn (Super Chunky weight). I've been wanting to try the Cashmerino range (any of it! 1 The O.C.

Friday, December 30, 2005. 2006 will likely be another year of changes. We'll both try to graduate from university and we'll be buying our very first apartment. Maybe other things as well. Teresa Wentzler: Wedding Sampler. Work on all the other WIPs I have. Chatelaine: Sampler Mystery II. Chatelaine (big): Mystery VIII. Before me...

Silken threads: July 2006
http://silkenthreads.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 31, 2006. I put some in the freezer as they are with just a little bit of sugar. We still have some left over from last year, so I didn't think it necessary to put more. But I did do other things. I made a rum jar: berries, sugar and white rum; let it stand for three weeks, then can be used for months (or so the instructions say, I've never done it before). Posted by Toukan äiti at 9:30 PM. Sunday, July 30, 2006. Posted by Toukan äiti at 9:10 PM. Wednesday, July 26, 2006. The small Homespun ...
