Seasons of Life for a Military Wife

Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Reintegration, PCSing, and the Start of a New Season - ACS. When my husband returned from his third deployment, we were overjoyed to see each other. Since he came home late at night, our daughter was already asleep in bed. The next morning was filled with excitement, as I watched her reunite with him for the first time since R&R.7 months ago! There were no boundaries on when work began and when it ended. It just seemed to take over! My emotions did the same. I was not happy....

Seasons of Life for a Military Wife: January 2012

http://seasonsoflifeforamilitarywife.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Monday, January 30, 2012. The Call that Changed It All. Once I had established my new plan to follow God’s will for me even if it didn’t meet my former expectations, life went pretty smoothly. That is until one night when Matt’s cell phone rang. It was not unusual for Matt to get a call any time of the day or night since he joined the Army. It was just annoying when it rang at an inconvenient time. We soon found out. I was trying to piece together what this could be about, but to no avail. This buddy of ...

Seasons of Life for a Military Wife: February 2012

http://seasonsoflifeforamilitarywife.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Monday, February 27, 2012. Where is the Good in Goodbye? About 3 days leading up to Matt’s actual deployment date, we were still trying to make the most of every moment. Yet in the midst of that, duty called. Although I wasn’t working, Matt was busy getting last minute preparations together for the General, including shipping his car and packing his small house where he lived as a geographical bachelor. He knows what is best for us always. Last deployment, this took the whole day. Sure enough, he signed ...

Seasons of Life for a Military Wife: Challenges

http://seasonsoflifeforamilitarywife.blogspot.com/2013/10/challenges.html

Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Trying to have fun while sick. I remembered thinking before DH even left, what am I going to do when I get sick and still have to take care of DD, especially if she too is sick? Well, about 6 weeks into the deployment, I found out! So what did I do? About a week and a half went by when we were able to engage in our usual activities again – Gymboree, MOPS, PWOC, play dates, etc. But then DD got a runny nose and another cough. Ugh! It felt like were never going to be well! Thank...

Seasons of Life for a Military Wife: July 2013

http://seasonsoflifeforamilitarywife.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 29, 2013. When a military wife becomes a mom. Well, not many weeks after the good news that Calvin would be okay, I got up to walk him very early one Saturday morning in October. Just before the walk, I had the suspicion I should take a pregnancy test. So I let it sit while I walked Calvin and all the while pondered whether I could truly be pregnant. It had only been 2 months since I went off the pill. I was so excited walking back to the house, hoping the test would be positive. It was such...

http://melandjoebisson.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 29, 2012. Takin' After the Dogs. I think Ty has been watching the pups too much lately. Lately I've been seeing a lot of this:. Teething wins over child proofing apparently. He's pretty dang cute if I must say so! Oh, and if you didn't see the latest picture on FB, I finally got one of him smiling showing off his pearly whites {all 6}! I can't believe his birthday is right around the corner. My friend and I are busy preparing for his birthday par-tay! 115 months old - 6 teeth. Links to th...

The Bisson's

http://melandjoebisson.blogspot.com/2012/11/joe-here-i-realized-recently-that-ive.html

Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Joe here, I realized recently that I've been negligent in my posting duties. In fact, I've allowed years of these blogs to slip by without fully capturing the electronic medium of intro/extrospection. New word, TM. Mel does so much, and I've let her run the blog all this time without even posting? And both that morning equally lay. In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back.

The Bisson's: Whirlwind of change!

http://melandjoebisson.blogspot.com/2012/08/whirlwind-of-change.html

Sunday, August 5, 2012. We've been through so much within the last few weeks, it's hard to keep track of it all! July 16th our house was packed up and we stayed in our empty house (with exception of the first night, sweet friends let us stay with them since we didn't have any government furniture yet) for 4 days. Then we headed to temporary lodging on base. It was tiny since we had 6 bags, carry-ons, baby furniture, etc. stuffed in every corner possible. Then we headed off to Huntsville, AL. We're st...

The Bisson's: Blustery Desert Winter?

http://melandjoebisson.blogspot.com/2013/01/blustery-desert-winter.html

Saturday, January 12, 2013. I guess when we considered the prospects of living in the deserts of the U.S., the idea of snow didn't occur to us? The tumbleweeds and strong blowing wind off the mountains should have been familiar from time in Colorado, but surely the desert doesn't get snow? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Wednesday, July 11, 2012. I realized I didn't blog about 16 months. Life's been pretty busy lately! I've gotten to enjoy almost a full month of being a SAHM. and I am absolutely loving it! I realized how much precious time I was missing out on. My sweet little guy is making up for it and I get so many hugs each day. I think he enjoys having me home full-time, too. I think he's weighing in around 30lbs. maybe a bit more! He's in 18 month clothes, size 4 diapers still. Completely obsessed with wheels!
