Vessels should be fitted with a fire alarm system that is adequate for maintaining the safety of crew, passengers, vessel and her cargo. Fire on a ship at sea is the seafarer’s most feared catastrophe and a fully operational smoke/fire detecting system is compulsory to avoid such incidents. If you have any auto sprinkler system installed, it should be temporarily deactivated. Check the internal memory batteries if any. And make sure the external emergency power supply connection is working properly.

My Life as a Sea Sponge. Friday, August 31, 2007. The Sea Sponge has left the building. Monday, August 20, 2007. I'm going to be away for the first 2 weeks of september, we're going up to lakeside, next to windermere. The place was built up from nothing, during the victorian or edwardian era. We're going up in 2 cars, our daughter is taking the train and we'll be meeting up there. I'm going to be using the gym there, having a go on the rowing machine. Friday, August 17, 2007.
